Wildlife Park proposed in Penampang
The Sabah government has been planning to set up a real wildlife park in Penampang but it depends whether it will benefit the natives and district or not. Other than that, the legal and cultural issues need to be put in consideration as well.
Existing Wildlife Park may be moved
As mentioned by Datuk Seri Panglima, Masidi Manjun during his speech at the Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agent (SATTA) annual dinner and the launch of the association Almanac 2016 on Saturday night, they are actually planning to relocate the existing Lok Kawi Wildlife Park to Penampang, Sabah. But, to reach to that extend, the legal and cultural issues has to be solved by the discussion with Sugud natives so that they would not misunderstood us by trying to take over native rights.
In accordance to that, this new park should also benefit the native and the district in general so that the local people and leader can work together to make this new park becomes a reality.
