TAED all set for Tanjung Aru Transformation
After two years Tanjung Aru Eco Development (TAED) been launched, it is time where all are set to get ready for Tanjung Aru’s new look. It has been divided into four phase and the first phase of this project is scheduled to operate early next year. This project designed to change Sabah to become premier tourism destination in the region. In this project, they will have something that is unique and never exist in any part of Malaysia for example walking rain-forest, a marina, cycling lanes, beach football and volleyball place, playground and amphitheater for events hosting and performances. These will also create lots of job opportunities for Sabahan. Plus, half of TAED will be accessible to public so that they can enjoy the fun too.
TAED with 8 unique Zones
Once the first phase has opened, the second phase will open in September 2017 followed by the third phase in September 2018 and the last phase will open in March 2019. All of this projects which will be completed by the end of 2019 has eight unique character zones by the name of Tanjung Aru beach, Prince Philip Park, Prince Philip Wharf, Aru Gateway, Aru village, Aru oceanfront, Aru Marina and Golf Retreat.
But the most important thing is, the beach and park will have the new features such as promenade, walking and cycling tracks and ecology center specially for public to enjoy. Before this, the beach was not in a good condition whereby there are saying that the sand sample they have collected showed that it had Escherichia coli.
