Malindo Air to attract more Tourists
The direct daily flight between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei was launched Saturday by Malaysia’s new premium service airline, Malindo Air. It aims to attract more Taiwanese tourists to Malaysia by September 2017, in line with Tourism Malaysia’s target of 30 million international tourist arrivals in the next few years. This was announced by Chandran Rama Muthy, Chief Executive Offier of Malindo, at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. He also hinted on the possibility of increase in flight frequency because of the great potential of this market.
This new route would be another option for Taiwanese tourists travelling to Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Perth and Nepal. Another route linking Kota Kinabalu and Taiwan is expected to be launched by year-end or early 2017. President of Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre Datuk Adeline Leong said that this route will help enhance friendship ties between Malaysia and Taiwan as well as boost trade and investments.
