Mediacorp boosts Sabah Tourism

This press conference has been attended by Sabah Tourism Board of Directors member Alexander Yee Kok Tse, one of the board’s deputy general manager, Kevin Chin Kui Vun, and Avangio Hotel’s general manager, Gordon Seet. As stated by Sabah Tourism Board chairman, Dato’ Joniston Bangkuai, ‘Legal Eagles’ drama produced by Mediacorporation Studios Sdn Bhd has helped Sabah tourism by bringing more visitors from Singapore to Sabah this year. The number increased to 21,764 Singaporean tourists last year.

The drama covers all parts of main attractions and it is near to the city such as Tanjung Aru beach, Highlands of Kundasang and Mount Kinabalu. In addition, the fact they will come again for filming prove that Sabah has the most interesting views that is affordable for any types of films or drama. Bangkuai believes that this drama series will tell more about Sabah’s natural beauty and attracts all Singaporean to come to Sabah for vacation. Now we have two different airlines that provide direct flights to Sabah such as Air Asia and Silk Air.

Bangkuai said that they will continue to promote Sabah to Singaporeans with their beautiful beaches, fascinating sunset views and dive sites. The State Government also would like to thank Mediacorp for promoting this domestic tourism to their people back home.
